I'm an independent consultant who specializes in marketing, strategic communications, public relations and media relations.
I've consulted to companies in sectors ranging from the environment, film/entertainment, consumer goods, luxury goods and government since receiving my MBA degree from Thunderbird, School of Global Management, in 2000.
My international marketing work has taken me to fantastic locations including Manila, where I conducted market research for The Coca-Cola Company, and Dubrovnik, where I implemented a marketing strategy for the first annual Dubrovnik International Film Festival. I've also held positions with companies in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.
My last permanent position was in Brussels as a diplomat posted to the European Union, a two year career change which gave me great insight into EU institutions and markets.
Last year I made a move toward the field of socially responsible marketing when I earned an “advanced certificate in environmental diplomacy” at the University of Geneva, in a specialized UNEP-sponsored program.
Most recently I worked as a consultant to the United Nations climate change secretariat, facilitating internal UN communications, leading up to and during the December 2009 climate talks/COP15 in Copenhagen.
My hometown is Seattle, a city where people drink a lot of coffee, read books, watch foreign films, ski in the winter and sail in the summer. I now live in Bonn with my husband, a fellow "T-Bird" who owns a solar energy company (convers Energie). And though there is good coffee in Europe, I must admit I still prefer the beans... “Cafe Verona, please”... with the legendary mermaid logo.
